The Bill (Reg. № 5040) supplements the Law with the regulations that determine the legal status of persons who fell victims of repressions, and sets the guarantees of their social security. The Bill also extends the range of privileges envisaged by the effective Law onto the rehabilitated citizens persons recognized as victims of political repressions.
Pursuant to the Bill: persons are recognized as victims to the political repressions if they were born during their mothers served their sentence in prisons or medical establishments and later were rehabilitated; were under 18 years together with the parents serving their sentence in prisons or in exile and later were rehabilitated; were under 18 years and deprived of the parental care if one of the parents or both parents were subjected to repression and later rehabilitated pursuant to the law.
The Bill also envisages the improvement of the dwelling conditions, vesting the victims with the right on the prior dwelling allotment and interest-free credits for those living in the rural areas for the dwelling building. Pursuant to the Bill the political repression victims purchase medicines with 50% discount and have the right on the prior medical treatment etc.
